I had a roommate/best friend who had one. Sadly she had to rehome him when she moved back to the Netherlands. His name was Clertje, which means "Little colour" in Dutch. He was one handsome and incredibly awesome beast.

Is it true that they can be mean? I noticed they had some sharp little claws....

The one that was my roommates was a sweetie. A bit shy at first, but once it watched you with a wary eye, it often would come over to check you out and climb on you. I think it saw us all as just another tree to climb on.

i use to have one. but this is when i didnt know much about reptiles, they really are amazing creatures. but hard to care for.. deffinetly not for the begginer. id say someone with a few years on there back. babies are the hardest. wich is what i had, she was SOO small, she ate a peice of bark almost as big as her and.. i think you get the point. but yea if you want one i reccomend them but do TONS of reserch.

kenny.
p.s. i love there little death grips! feels so kewl! xD

Yeah the breeder that I was "interviewing" lol told me a lot about them, she said it was best to just leave them alone as they grow older, then you can slowly start to handle them..Its definitely something that i am going to study up on and probably have one of these amazing guys in the future!

Haha, I love the little deathgrip too, I guess if you lived in trees you'd have to have some Chuck Norris grip...lol

Yeah, I was looking at the babies at the show and they were so tiny, I was suprised that they grew that big, the one in the pic is 2!

I was just walking aroud, checking everything out at it was just chillin on this log out in the open about eye level, I was stopped in my tracks and i asked the guy if I could hold it and I did, then he fed it a worm from like 2 feet away from my arm, and once i saw it eat i had to have one. It was great, as soon as he spotted his prey his kung fu grip became a vulcan death grip! He was all excited...
Then I spent about a half hour talkin to the woman about them..lol

I love veiled chameleons! As soon as I have the extra funds for another habitat I plan to get one (and I convince the wife we need another critter). I think they are by far the coolest looking and acdting lizard.

Was that at the Midwest show?? I think I saw that one too. Actually I think that breeder goes to my local show and always has that guy on display. Very cool chameleon for sure!
