i have a buddy that has the space and wants to take a stab at being a rodent breeder. he asked me to ask everyone what makes a good rodent breeder? he also wants to know what would make you switch from where you currently get your rats, good prices? higher quality? he even vacuum seals them individually. im just looking for any kind of feed back here, so tell me about the guy who sold you smelly rats, or tell my why you get your rats from where you get them from.
any kind of feedback is appreciated, including what has turned you off of breeders in the past or what makes your rat guy so good.
thanks

Starts with Quality, customer service, customer service.

No need to always vacuum seal them.

he got that from me. my bro does all ours and its just nice, no freezer burn plus when u defrost no water gets in so you dont get that soggy mess. how do they normally come? any other suggestions? he really wants to do this, apparently a guy that was huge around here just quit doing it so any advice or info would be great.

Good quality freezer bags are fine.

Thing with Vacuum bags is once its opened their all exposed to air. So its not worth it as it will increase your overhead.

Lay them neatly in the bags, freeze them flat in good thick freezer bags, and they will be good for a year.
