about a year ago i was kijiji surfing and found an ad for an everglades rat snake, after alittle research i decided to go for it and bought it, 36 hours later it died. i contacted the guy and he agreed to give me another. so i named it psycho #2. recently psycho has me thinking he is a yellow rat not an everglades, i see photos of what people say are yellow rats and they look just like my psycho. as i said its been about a year now he couldnt have been more than a month or two old when i got him. this is him today
and this is the earliest shot i have of him taken with a crappy camera.

Well i will be honest i couldnt tell you what he is sorry lol.I will say its cool looking what ever it is

thanks man. i guess thats all that really matters right? when i got him he was a tiny little 11 gram noodle, now he is over 130 grams and around 3 foot. he would strike at the glass whenever someone would walk by, very very angry little snake, but as he grew and with regular handling now he is nice, its like we broke our little psycho. im still holding out hope that he is an everglades, they are the biggest rat snake, i was kinda hoping to one day id have an 8 footer like some of the others ive seen but if he is a yellow rat he will still be my yellow rat, ill just be pissed at the guy who sold him to me.

Doesn't look like the Glades Rat's Ive seen. They're more orange than that. I'd say yellow rat or maybe an intergrade from the two. Pure Blood Glades Rats are not easy to come by now a days.

ive heard that pure wild eveglades have red eyes and a red tongue but captive bred they arent so red. psychos eyes are reddish and his tongue is black but the edge of it is red. ive also heard that people interbreed everglades with yellows so its really just wait and see what he is, whatever he is, he is my psycho. i hate liars!! i got him for a reason, i wanted the biggest rat snake and i love the color of them when full grown its like red and orange awesomeness.

He's a good looking snake regardless. I don't like people who lie about stuff to get a sale. Goomba's Reptiles has some of the closest to being pure bred ones I've seen. I also know a kid in Florida that has one thats pretty killer looking.
